For the first time I'm disappointed with this playset. The figures of the 4th Doctor and Styre are very cool, very accurate and a great addition to the classic series, but when I observed that the Sontaran space ship was a solid "big ball" my heart sank. All photos related to this ship appeared to be a hallowed out ship with a chair and control. I thought, "how cool to have a Sontaran pilot the ship, even the new series ones". Well that is not so and all it is is a paper weight. I would have expected better. I really feel that Character Options/Underground Toys drop "the ball" on this, what could have been, a very cool platset.

As a child I really wanted something like this and never thought it would get made. The figures are very nice . Styre looks great and the helment actually fits right on his head(unlike the Sontarans from the new series in which the helments don't stay on very well) Great detail and likeness. I do agree with Robert about the space ship. It looks great, but seems kinda odd that the inside was not hollowed out to place a figure in there. Still overall a nice set and I always wanted a Styre figure, so I can't complain too much.

I am giving this a 3 TARDIS rating simply because of the paint issues. I'm not sure if it was just my set, but the paint work on the Doctor's scarf, tie, and especially the seat and inside of the ship is quite sloppy. The white of the seat is thick and gloppy and not painted even close to the sculpted edge. This makes the very shallow sculpted seat seem even smaller. The gray bar area above the seat is also painted in the same sloppy manor. The paint does not come close to the edges. It looks like this set was painted very quickly, and with little care. There are also the issues of Styre not fitting inside, and the incorrect Doctor outfit colors, etc. I am happy to have another 4th Doc variant, and more than thrilled with the Styre figure, but this is the first classic set I feel a bit disappointed with.

WOW!!!!! This set is so amazing, and don't let the picture fool you. The ship is about twice the size it comes across in the picture. Accuracy on the ship, Styre, and The Doctor is great. The Fourth Doctor is wearing his "duffel" coat from the first few adventures, and the scarf is wound around his neck (which is what caused Tom Baker's accident during the filming of this episode). Everything is amazingly accurate, and the ship is just SO AMAZING (although is would have been nice to have had an actual chair for Styre to sit in instead of a "fake" one). Overall this set is one of the best things Character Options has produced in the way of playsets. Can't recommend it highly enough.
