What a fantastic soundtrack! I'm glad to see that they're moving to a more regular soundtrack format rather than the "bits and pieces" format of the past releases. This gives you the epic scope of the score, which really is incredible for television. A must have for all soundtrack collectors!

I'm afraid I have to disagree. This set was less fantastic and more phantasmagoric. Despite being delayed, this release still feels very rushed. There's nothing more irritating than having to run both CDs through scratch repair right after taking the shrink wrap off when both discs went flying out because Silva Screen got the flimsiest double CD case they could find. Don't get excited about it being a double set either. Hey Silva Screen: FYI- CDs carry 80 minutes of music! How about giving us our money's worth for once? Disc 1 runs only 50 minutes. You'd be surprised how much is missing between 3 hour long specials. Where's the spooky premonition music from the end of Planet of the Dead? Waters of Mars gets really shortchanged. Disk 2 is only about 60 minutes long. Many tracks have some unusually longer periods of dead air between them so expect some extra silence. They couldn't even get all of the songs in the right order. Worst of all is they interrupt the two tracks of regeneration music with a 4 minute thing that wasn't even in the show! My advice is to wait for the iTunes release. We were told it would have some bonus tracks, and you can put them all in their proper order on your computer before burning the CDs. Success has gone to Silva Screen's head, and I hope the Series 5 soundtrack is handled better than this one was.
