On the planet Chronos, the Doctor and Evelyn are summoned to help a military/archaelogy team unlock the secrets of a mysterious temporal wave emanating from a long-forgotten temple. And at the heart of that temple appears to be an old foe... but is everything exactly as straightforward as it seems?

This story takes place between "The Trial of a Time Lord" and "Time and the Rani".
