The Christmas of 1964 saw Britain gripped in a wave of Dalekmania. As well as conquering the nation’s playgrounds and toy stores, the Daleks were back in their second television serial, The Dalek Invasion of Earth, playing to audiences of over 11 million.
With iconic images of the Daleks gliding around central London landmarks and rolling over Westminster Bridge, as well as the departure of the Doctor’s granddaughter Susan, the serial became an instant classic.
More than fifty years after the broadcast, cast and crew reunite to provide a brand new selection of commentary tracks for the serial.
Moderated by actor, comedian and cult television enthusiast, this release features Carole Ann Ford (Susan Foreman), Ann Davies (Jenny), Robert Aldous (Insurgent), David Graham (Dalek Voices), Peter Badger (Roboman), Nick Evans (Dalek and Slyther), Clive Doig (Vision Mixer), Spencer Chapman (Designer) and Richard Martin (Director).
These CDs can be enjoyed on their own or played in conjunction with the official BBC DVD release.
